Kurti Tailor for New Brand
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m launching a women-focused label, and the very first collection will be kurtis. I already have sketches and mood boards; what I need now is an experienced tailor who can translate those ideas into beautifully finished garments. The job centres exclusively on women’s clothing—specifically kurtis—and I’ll be working with whatever fabric best suits each design, whether that ends up being cotton, silk, chiffon, or another material we test together.
Here’s how I see the workflow:
• You draft or refine the pattern from my sketches, advise on fabric yield, then cut and stitch a production-quality sample in the agreed size.
• Once the sample is approved, you grade it across the size range, prepare cutting markers, and sew the first small batch.
• All seams should be neat inside and out, labels attached straight, and sizing consistent from piece to piece.
Files I’ll supply: design sketches, reference photos, measurement chart, and brand guidelines.
What I expect back: the finished sample, graded pattern files (digital or hard-copy), and the initial batch of completed kurtis ready for quality inspection.
Good communication is important to keep iterations minimal, so please outline your typical turnaround times and which equipment you’ll use (industrial lockstitch, overlock, coverstitch, etc.).
