Custom Skirts From Ties
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a sizeable stash of men’s ties that I’d love to transform into statement skirts. Length is flexible—mini, classic A-line, or even a dramatic maxi is fine—so long as the finished garment sits with a neat, tailored fit. I do want every tie to hang vertically from the waistband so the distinctive pointed ends remain visible at the hem.
Here’s how I picture the process: after I send you the ties and my measurements, you draft or adapt a pattern, reinforce a clean waistband, add a lining for comfort, and install an invisible zipper or other smooth-closing fastening. Once everything is assembled you’d press, photograph, and ship the finished skirt back to me.
