Boutique Tailor & Cutting Expert

I am setting up a small-run boutique that will stock both women’s and kids’ pieces, so I need an experienced tailor who is equally confident acting as the cutting master. Your core responsibilities cover the full production chain—pattern making, precise fabric cutting, and professional stitching/sewing—so every sample arrives in-store ready for final QC and labeling.

You will be working mainly on boutique-level quantities rather than mass production, where finishing and fit matter more than speed. Most items will blend modern casual silhouettes with occasional formal touches, so versatility in handling everything from light cottons to structured blends is a plus. If you already draft digitally (e.g., Optitex, Gerber, CLO) that’s great, but traditional hand-drafting skills are just as welcome as long as accuracy is spot-on.

Deliverables
• Ready-to-use patterns for each style (digital or neatly drafted on paper)
• Pre-cut fabric bundles matched to the patterns and size spec
• One fully sewn sample per style for fit approval, finished to boutique quality standards

Acceptance criteria
• Patterns must grade consistently across the women’s and kids’ size ranges supplied.
• Seam allowances, notches, grain lines, and labeling should be clear and production-ready.
• Finished samples must arrive pressed, with clean seams and no loose threads.

Communication will be via chat or video for quicker feedback loops, and I’m happy to share inspiration boards, spec sheets, and fabric swatches as soon as we start. If you have a portfolio showing similar boutique work, I’d love to see it when you submit your proposal.
