Fix Push Notification Server Crash
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Whenever I trigger a promotional push notification to all customers, the server goes down instantly. Other notification types work fine; only the promotional blast causes an immediate crash, so I’m certain the fault sits in that specific code path or the way the queue scales under full-audience load.
The job is to isolate the root cause, patch it, and confirm that sending a full promotional campaign no longer takes the server offline. You’ll have full access to crash logs, current deployment scripts, and the notification code so you can reproduce the issue in a staging environment first and then roll the fix to production.
Acceptance criteria
• A promotional notification can be broadcast to the entire user base without a crash.
• CPU / memory use remains within normal operating ranges during and after the send.
• Relevant logs show no unhandled exceptions or fatal errors for at least 24 hours post-deployment.
