Challenges with Server Utilization and Network Bandwidth in Ludo Gaming Application

We have developed a Ludo gaming application that utilizes Unity for the front end and Java for the backend. Our application is hosted on an AWS server with a configuration of 2 cores and 4GB RAM. However, we are encountering a significant issue with server utilization. When the app reaches approximately 90 concurrent users, the CPU usage remains at 3-5%, RAM usage at 10-20%, but the network bandwidth becomes insufficient. As a result, the server response is delayed, leading to a poor gaming experience. We attempted to address this problem by increasing the server configuration to 4 cores and 8GB RAM, but the same issue occurred when the user count reached around 180-190. Consequently, we are unable to implement a load balancer, and the cost of maintaining a high-performance server configuration becomes prohibitively expensive since we cannot utilize the server's full capacity.
