WordPress Developer Needed to Restore/Edit 1,267 Existing Pages Not Visible in WP Admin
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Description:
I need an experienced WordPress developer to diagnose and fix an issue on my website:
"InjuryClaimCoach.com" (https://injuryclaimcoach.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
The site contains approximately 1,267 existing pages under the URL structure:
https://www.injuryclaimcoach.com/questions/*
Example:
https://www.injuryclaimcoach.com/questions/am-i-at-fault-if-a-tire-blew-out.html
The pages are publicly accessible and indexed, but they do NOT appear inside WordPress Admin listings. They are currently:
- not viewable in Pages
- not searchable in WP Admin
- not manageable in bulk through WP Admin
However, if I am logged into WordPress admin and go directly to one of the URLs, I AM able to edit the page from the front-end admin bar/editor.
This indicates the pages likely exist within WordPress somehow, but are hidden from normal admin visibility/search.
All other pages on the site function normally in WP Admin.
I do NOT yet know whether these pages are:
- a hidden custom post type
- generated dynamically
- using custom rewrite rules
- stored in a custom database structure
- created through a plugin/legacy system
- or something else
Important Clarification:
This is NOT a request to rewrite or manually recreate 1,267 pages of content. The content already exists and the URLs are already live and functioning publicly. This appears to be a WordPress architecture/coding/visibility issue that needs to be diagnosed and corrected so the existing pages become manageable within WP Admin.
Project Goals:
1. Diagnose exactly how these pages are being generated/stored
2. Determine why they are not visible/searchable in WP Admin
3. Make the pages searchable, viewable, and editable within WordPress Admin
4. Preserve ALL existing URLs and SEO structure
5. Ensure no traffic/indexing loss occurs
6. Maintain existing page content and metadata
7. Make these pages fully discoverable/indexable by the Yoast SEO plugin so Yoast can properly include all URLs in the XML sitemap
8. Document what was changed
Additional Requirement:
There are also shared includes/templates/content blocks on these pages that need to be edited or removed in bulk across many or all of the 1,267 pages. Experience with large-scale content updates, template systems, regex replacements, database-safe bulk editing, or WP-CLI is highly preferred.
Important:
- These pages are already live and likely receive SEO traffic
- URL structure MUST remain unchanged
- No broken links or deindexing issues
- No loss of content
- Yoast SEO sitemap compatibility is required
- Full site/database backup should be created before changes
Please include:
- Your experience with WordPress custom post types, rewrite rules, legacy page systems, and migrations
- Experience with Yoast SEO and sitemap/indexation issues
- Experience with large-scale bulk content editing
- Similar projects you’ve completed
- Your proposed diagnostic approach
- Estimated timeline
Preference will be given to developers experienced with SEO-sensitive WordPress architecture and legacy/custom content systems.
ONLY Freelancer LONG HISTORY and 4.5+ stars will be considered
