Update Google Business Address & Status

I need help bringing our live Google presence up to date. Right now the company shows as “Permanently closed” and the street address is also out of date. The listing exists on both Google My Business and Google Maps, but it has never been claimed by us.
Here’s what I am looking for:
• Claim and gain full ownership of the listing on both platforms
• Remove the “Permanently closed” notice and switch the status back to active
• Update the full address so it matches our current location
• Walk me through any verification steps and let me know exactly which documents Google will accept; I do not yet have the paperwork ready, so clear guidance here is essential
• Make sure the changes propagate correctly across Maps, Search and the knowledge panel, and confirm once everything is live
