Project Scope
I need a developer who can:
Install and configure the latest stable version of WordPress on my existing SiteGround account
Set up the database, file structure, SSL, and staging workflow properly within SiteGround
Migrate or rebuild the current site content into WordPress while preserving:
existing pages
images and media
current URL structure where possible
redirects
on-page SEO settings and metadata
Recreate the site with a clean, minimalist, mobile-responsive design that feels polished and professional
Use a lightweight, well-supported theme or a carefully customized premium theme that is easy to maintain
Configure Gutenberg as the preferred editor, or recommend a similarly lightweight editor only if there is a strong reason
Set up only essential plugins for:
security
backups
SEO
caching/performance
Optimize the WordPress setup specifically for SiteGround, including SG Optimizer and related performance settings
Provide a brief handoff in the form of either:
a written guide, or
a short recorded walkthrough
What I Need From the Finished Site
The final site should allow me to easily:
create and publish blog posts
add featured images and product photos
update pages without developer help
manage routine WordPress updates confidently
Acceptance Criteria
To be considered complete, the project should meet the following:
Existing URLs are preserved or properly redirected, with no broken pages or 404s
Key pages, images, and SEO elements are successfully migrated
PageSpeed performance is maintained or improved from the current site
Site is fully mobile responsive
WordPress admin is clean and easy to use
I can log in and successfully:
create a post
add text plus three product photos
preview it
publish it live
