SEO and domain host and website integration.

A freelancer set up my domain and website. Then he entered my SEO keywords and set up SEO but it is not functioning as it should. He said it could take months for it to take effect, then he implied this was not his strength. I need to have my SEO working so people searching my name and/or business name and/or business category, and/or website title will see my website pop up. I am hosted by namecheap and am using wordpress but it is not integrated. If I am interested in you as a freelancer we will need to have a freelancer phone call. Clear speaking English is a must.
