SEO For Pest Control Service Business

I currently have someone working on SEO and just want a second opinion if my content is strong enough, using the correct platform, design, methods, etc. my competitors beat me everyday as i see them pop up locally in google maps and organically in every city and towns. I dont need to be number 1 but would like to compete better of the 1st 5 on the list. I need someone who has knowledge in Pest Control SEO for this second opinion. I have designed and wrote my content myself but i feel with google changing things all the time i dont have the time to sit in front of a computer . Need someone who is good and strong at this. Been 5 years trying now. I currently use wix.
