Removal av indexed URLs in Google

Hi,
We have accidently indexed sub domain urls in Google which should not be indexed.
Its a WordPress website.
Currently this is what we have done so far:
1. Uploaded in sitemap.xml to Google Search Console
2. Removed the sub domain totally. It has been removed a while ago
3. Told Google to recrawl the website
But still its not taking affect.
It should be a fast job for someone who knows what to do.
