Multilingual WordPress Pages with Hreflang
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Our established WordPress site now needs a full multilingual rollout so we can serve visitors in Spanish, French, German, and Italian. I already hold a WPML licence and want the site structured with that plugin, so please be fully comfortable configuring WPML’s language switcher, string translation, and translation management modules.
Beyond simply adding new content, I need every translated page tied together with accurate hreflang tags so Google and other search engines recognise the language‐region variants and index them correctly. The goal is seamless navigation for users and clean, search-friendly markup for bots.
To keep the scope clear, here is what I expect you to hand over:
• WPML configured and working across all four languages
• Core pages, menus, widgets, and any custom post types duplicated and translated (I will supply text; you focus on implementation)
• Correct hreflang tags added to each language variant and verified in the page source
• Updated XML sitemap and Search Console submission so indexing starts immediately
• Quick knowledge-transfer call or document showing me how to add future translations
I will consider the job complete once every translated URL serves the right language, the language switcher works flawlessly on desktop and mobile, and an online hreflang testing tool reports no errors.
If you have delivered similar multilingual WordPress builds, your experience will be obvious in the way you plan the URL structure, tackle mixed-language slugs, and avoid duplicate-content pitfalls. Let’s make the site truly international.
