Website Design & Development Consultant – KIPD
The Kenadid Institute for Policy & Development (KIPD), a non-profit policy and development institute based in Garowe, Somalia, is seeking an experienced freelancer to design, develop, and launch a professional institutional website and digital knowledge platform.
Key Requirements
• Design a modern, responsive, and secure website using WordPress (or similar CMS).
• Create key sections including About, Research & Publications, Programmes, News & Events, Governance, Media Centre, and Contact.
• Configure domain, hosting, SSL, and institutional email accounts.
• Integrate publications repository, blog/news management, event management, newsletter subscription, analytics, and social media.
• Implement SEO, security features, backups, and performance optimization.
• Provide staff training, user manual, and full handover.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven portfolio of NGO, research institute, university, or development-sector websites.
• Strong WordPress, UI/UX, SEO, website security, and email/domain configuration skills.
Deliverables
1. Functional staging website for review.
2. Fully launched website with email setup, analytics, SEO, security, training, and complete handover.
Timeline
Assignment duration: 3–4 weeks.
