Technical SEO Specialist (WordPress) – YMYL / Professional Services Website
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
Project Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical SEO specialist with strong WordPress expertise to improve the organic search performance of our professional services website:

We operate in the Australian migration and education services sector, which is a high-trust (YMYL) category. All work must strictly comply with Google Search Essentials and focus on long-term, sustainable SEO.
Project Structure (Mandatory)
This project is delivered in two sequential phases.
Phase 2 (On-Page SEO) will commence only after Phase 1 (Technical SEO) is fully completed and approved.
Phase 1 – Technical SEO (Mandatory)
The freelancer must complete all of the following:
1. Technical SEO Audit
• Full site crawl using Screaming Frog or Sitebulb
• Review Google Search Console:
o Index coverage
o Crawl errors
o Mobile usability
o Core Web Vitals
• Identify:
o Index bloat
o Duplicate URLs
o Thin or low-value pages
o Orphan pages
2. Indexation & Crawl Fixes
• Fix:
o 404 and soft-404 errors
o Broken internal links
o Redirect chains and loops
• Ensure:
o Correct canonical tags
o Proper index / noindex usage
• Optimise robots.txt
• Clean and resubmit XML sitemap to Google Search Console
3. Page Speed & Core Web Vitals
• Analyse using PageSpeed Insights / Lighthouse
• Improve:
o LCP
o CLS
o INP
• Optimise:
o Images
o CSS / JavaScript
o Caching
• Ensure strong mobile and desktop performance
4. Mobile & UX
• Fix mobile usability issues reported in GSC
• Ensure full mobile responsiveness
5. Structured Data (Schema)
• Implement and validate:
o Organization / LocalBusiness schema
o Breadcrumb schema
o Article schema (blog posts)
o FAQ schema (where applicable)
• Ensure compliance with Google Rich Results guidelines
Phase 2 – On-Page SEO (After Phase 1 Approval)
6. Keyword Mapping
• Map 10–15 pre-approved commercial keywords to existing pages
• Avoid keyword cannibalisation
• Align keywords with correct search intent
7. Metadata Optimisation
• Rewrite:
o Page titles
o Meta descriptions
• Ensure:
o One unique title and description per page
o CTR-focused and Google-compliant wording
8. Heading & Content Structure
• One H1 per page
• Logical H2 / H3 structure
• Headings aligned with keyword focus and intent
9. Content Refinement
• Improve existing content only
• Enhance:
o Service pages
o Visa-related pages
• Add missing sections:
o Eligibility
o Process
o Timelines
o FAQs
• Ensure strong E-E-A-T signals (YMYL compliance)
10. Internal Linking
• Strengthen links between:
o Service pages
o Blog content
o Conversion pages
• Use descriptive anchor text
• Eliminate orphan pages
11. Image SEO
• Optimise ALT text and file names
• Compress images where required

• Google Search Console access
• GA4 access
• cPanel / hosting access (if required)
Deliverables

• Google Search Console verification screenshots
• Phase 2 on-page optimisation summary
