Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Job Request: Backlink Cleanup & Toxic Link Removal (Two-Step Selection)
Website: https://www.stadhjalpen.nu
Project type: Fixed scope · Fixed price
Language: English
Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced SEO specialist to assist with a controlled and
conservative backlink cleanup for our website.
The objective is to remove or neutralize only clearly harmful backlinks, in order to
create a clean and safe foundation for future off-page SEO.
This is not a mass-disavow or aggressive cleanup project.
We are specifically avoiding over-cleanup and unnecessary disavows.
Scope of Work (Summary)
The selected specialist will:
● Review backlinks using Google Search Console and SEMrush or Ahrefs
● Identify and flag clearly harmful backlinks only
● Prepare a controlled removal and disavow list (domain-level)
● Perform limited manual outreach for approved toxic domains
● Deliver full documentation and a final disavow file for approval
Final upload to Google Search Console will be handled by us.
Important Principles
● Risk reduction, not perfection
● Conservative decisions over aggressive actions
● Avoid false positives
● Swedish and Nordic domains must be handled with extra care
Two-Step Selection Process (Important)
We use a two-step selection process to ensure quality and avoid unnecessary
risk.
Step 1 – Written Pre-Qualification (Required, Unpaid)
All applicants must answer the pre-qualification questions below.
This step is used to evaluate how you think, not to request any free work.
Only shortlisted candidates will proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 – Small Paid Test Task (Shortlisted Candidates Only)
A small paid test will be given only to 2–3 shortlisted candidates.
This test evaluates real-world decision-making before awarding the full project.
Pre-Qualification Questions (Step 1)
Please answer the following questions in your proposal:
1. How do you determine whether a backlink is truly harmful versus simply low
quality?
2. In what situations would you not disavow a backlink, even if SEO tools flag it
as toxic?
3. What are the biggest risks of mass disavow or aggressive backlink cleanup?
4. How do you avoid removing backlinks that still provide value?
5. Do you agree that the goal is risk reduction rather than a perfect backlink
profile? Please explain briefly.
Proposals without answers to these questions will not be considered.
Timeline & Pricing
Please include:
● Fixed total price for the full project
● Estimated timeline (number of days)
● Tools you will use (SEMrush or Ahrefs required)
● Relevant experience with backlink cleanup projects
No hourly billing.
What This Project Is NOT
● No mass disavow
● No automated decisions based solely on tool scores
● No on-page SEO
● No CMS or admin access
● No Google Search Console admin actions
How to Apply
Please submit:
● Answers to the pre-qualification questions
Fixed price and timeline
● Brief summary of your approach
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the paid test task.
