Update Selenium Java Test Suite Cucumber framework
Budget: ₹600 – ₹800 INR
My Cucumber-based Selenium WebDriver test suite has started to break. The goal is very clear: I need the current scenarios repaired, not expanded. Most failures come from incorrect assertions and steps that no longer match the application, and a few rely on data that has since moved to a different environment.
What I expect you to do
• Review every failing scenario, pinpointing the exact assertion or outdated step that causes the break.
• Align steps with the latest UI and workflow, updating test data where required.
• Introduce reliable database checks where the tests now need to confirm records—this is the only external verification involved.
Acceptance criteria
• All previously failing scenarios run green on our CI pipeline.
• Assertions accurately reflect the present business rules.
• Database validations execute without additional setup scripts.
• The suite still executes within the original time budget; no new flakiness is introduced.
Tech stack & approach
The project is 100 % Java, Maven, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber JVM. Git is used for version control and the pipeline runs on GitHub Actions, so every pull request will be validated automatically.
