Selenium Regression Test Execution
Budget: $3 – $10 NZD
I have a mature Java-based automation framework built around Selenium and TestNG and I’m now at the Test Execution phase of the release cycle. The regression suite covers core user journeys for our web application; what I need is focused, repeatable execution of those cases, quick feedback on pass/fail status, and clear defect logging.
Your task is to run the existing regression pack against the latest build, investigate any unexpected results, and log reproducible defects with sufficient detail (steps, screenshots, stack traces). TestNG reports currently generate automatically, so you’ll verify they reflect actual outcomes and attach them to the run summary.
A concise completion note that includes:
• Execution date and environment
• List of failed cases with defect IDs opened in Jira
• The exported TestNG HTML report
Everything should be performed with Selenium WebDriver (Java). If you notice opportunities to streamline via Postman/Newman for our API smoke layer, feel free to suggest them, but the core deliverable remains the browser-side regression run and its validated report.
