QA Engineer
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
Role Overview:
An experienced QA Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality websites through structured testing and quality assurance processes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of web technologies and be capable of planning and executing both manual and automated testing within agile delivery frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops, maintains, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for website projects
• Conducts cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive testing to ensure consistency and usability
• Performs functional, regression, integration, and system testing across web platforms
• Validates content rendering, component behavior, form submissions, and third-party integration
• Identify, log, and track defects using standard defect management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA)
• Collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and UX designers to ensure requirements are met
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks where appropriate
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), performance benchmarks, and security practices
• Support release cycles by performing smoke testing in staging and production environments
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Required Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in website quality assurance within a digital, agency, or enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with manual testing methodologies and test management tools
• Extensive JMeter/BlazeMeter experience
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Knowledge of browser developer tools and debugging techniques
• Working knowledge of version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
• Experience testing websites built using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js)
• Exposure to headless CMS platforms and component-based architectures
• Performance and accessibility testing experience
