WordPress Cleanup and Server Security Project

We are looking for an experienced freelancer to help us clean and secure our WordPress website and server.

**The main issues we are facing:**

* Our server has been sending out spam emails, causing a large mail queue every day.
* Fake users (over 60,000) have been created in WordPress and need to be removed.
* We suspect there are unauthorized scripts/malware on the server.
* A recent scan from our server provider reported:

* Suspicious matches: 312
* Viruses found: 191

**Our setup:**

* Dedicated server with WHM access (one domain with cPanel)
* WordPress website (everything recently updated)
* Third-party SMTP service now installed to block outgoing spam from the server

**We need you to:**

* Review the malware scan report and remove all malicious scripts/files
* Clean up fake WordPress users (can be done via SSH in bulk)
* Secure the server and WordPress site to prevent future attacks
* Suggest and configure effective security measures/plugins (without slowing down the site)
* Optimize the website for better performance and faster loading times

**Ongoing work:**
We are interested in long-term cooperation on a monthly basis (around €50/month) for:

* Security monitoring
* WordPress/plugin updates
* Speed optimization and maintenance
