About the role
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Security Lead to take full ownership of deploying and maintaining our project's source code in a live production environment. You will architect a resilient, secure hosting setup — protecting the platform from unauthorized access, data breaches, and service disruptions. This is an ongoing hourly engagement with room to grow as the project scales.

What you'll own

Hosting & deployment
Set up and manage production servers, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows — stack-agnostic, adaptable to whatever environment the project requires.

Security hardening
Implement firewalls, access controls, intrusion detection, DDoS mitigation, and encryption at rest and in transit. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management.

Access & secrets management
Control repository access, manage secrets vaults, and enforce least-privilege policies across all environments.

Availability & disaster recovery
Design backup strategies, incident response playbooks, and uptime monitoring to ensure continuous service availability.

Requirements
- Linux server administration

- Flexible with hosting providers

- SSL/TLS, VPN, firewall config
- CI/CD pipelines
- Monitoring & alerting
- Incident response experience

Nice to have
Experience with self-hosted infrastructure, open-source stacks, GDPR/privacy compliance, penetration testing, geo-redundant deployments, or working across multiple tech stacks.
