Cyber Security Website Content for Startup
Budget: $10 – $500 AUD
• Seeking an experienced content specialist to develop the website content for a cyber security consultancy (Startup) based in Australia.
• The successful candidate needs strong understanding of technical (Information Technology related) contents, focussing on cyber security, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, credible and commercially focused website content.
• The role requires someone who understands / will be able to research and understand the cyber security domain, including governance, risk, compliance, standards, architecture, threat management and resilience, as well as cyber for emerging technologies e.g. AI, Post Quantum Cryptography, Microservices, Cloud, partnership with other organisations, etc..
• The content needs to reflect industry depth, strategic clarity and credibility with senior executives.
• A separate provider is responsible for website design and build. Web design and development are out of scope for this role. However, the content specialist will be required to collaborate with the designer to ensure alignment between structure, layout and messaging.
Scope of work includes:
• Review of selected reference websites to understand positioning and structure
• Engagement with the founder to clarify services, target clients and value proposition
• Development of website content including homepage, services pages, about us, methodology, insights and contact sections
• Refinement of messaging to ensure clarity, authority and commercial relevance
• Structuring content to improve engagement and conversion
• Basic on page SEO including keyword alignment, headings structure, meta descriptions and content optimisation
• Collaboration with the website designer to ensure content and layout are aligned
• Independent research where required to address gaps and ambiguity
- The candidate needs to be comfortable working with ambiguity, limited direction and able to structure ideas logically. Maturity, judgement and professional standards are essential. The final output needs to be suitable for senior executives and decision makers.
- Collaboration will occur through scheduled video sessions via Microsoft Teams or Google Meet during evenings between 6 pm and 10 pm Sydney time. Additional communication will occur via email. Web design team is based in India.
- The website will be written in English. The use of GenAI tools is acceptable provided the final output is accurate, professional and technically sound. The consultant remains accountable for quality, structure and correctness.

# If the initial engagement is successful, there is a strong likelihood of a separate ongoing engagement. This may include developing new service pages, writing blogs and insights, updating existing content and refining positioning as the firm evolves. Cyber security is a rapidly changing field and content will require periodic updates. This is a startup. The expectation is to build a longer term working relationship with a content specialist who can grow with the business as it expands.
