Setup Technical SEO for GitHub Pages Website

Hi,

I’m looking for help with a small technical SEO setup for my website (hosted on GitHub Pages).

This is Phase 1 of a larger plan, so I’m specifically looking for someone who can handle technical setup cleanly and correctly.

Scope of work:

• Create and set up sitemap.xml
• Create and configure robots.txt
• Set up Google Search Console
– Connect and verify the website
– Submit sitemap
– Initiate indexing

• Basic on-page setup
– Update title tags and meta descriptions for key pages

• Link preview setup
– Ensure correct title, description, and image when shared (WhatsApp/social)

Deliverables (must be verifiable on live site):

• Sitemap accessible at /sitemap.xml
• Robots.txt accessible at /robots.txt
• Website connected to Google Search Console
• Sitemap submitted successfully
• Pages visible in Google search (site:domain)
• Correct link preview when shared

Important:

• Website is a static site (GitHub Pages), so this should be handled accordingly
• Work must be completed on the live site (not local environment)
• No backlinking, off-page SEO, or ongoing packages required
