Small Clay Human Sculpture
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m commissioning a realistic human figure sculpted entirely in clay, sized no larger than 12 inches so it can sit comfortably on a desk or shelf. I’m after a detailed finish—clear facial features, believable anatomy, and natural folds in the clothing or skin, yet not hyper-miniaturised studio-maquette precision.
The workflow I have in mind is straightforward:
• An initial concept sketch or quick maquette so we agree on pose and proportions.
• Progress photos at key stages (armature, rough-in, final detailing) for feedback.
• The cured, sealed clay piece shipped securely, ready to display straight from the box.
Please be familiar with traditional clay sculpting techniques (armature building, proper curing, surface finishing) and comfortable working at this small scale. If you’ve handled desk-sized portrait or figurative pieces before, feel free to share examples. I’m happy to discuss reference images, timelines, and any practical considerations such as internal supports or packaging once we connect.
