WhatsApp Desktop Data Migration

I have years of conversations, photos, videos and contact cards currently stored in the Windows desktop version of WhatsApp. I need every bit of that data—chat history, all media files and my full contact list—lifted from the PC installation and restored inside the mobile app so it appears natively on a new phone. I’m open to landing it on either an Android or an iOS device, as long as the end result functions exactly like a normal WhatsApp backup: messages searchable, media viewable in-chat and contacts linked to the correct threads.

Here’s what success looks like for me:
• You locate and extract the local database(s) and all associated media from the Windows app.
• You convert or re-package these files so that WhatsApp on the target phone recognises them as a standard backup, preserving timestamps, read/unread status and group memberships.
• After import, every chat opens without errors, media loads, and contacts are mapped correctly.

If your solution is a script, tool or manual procedure, include clear, repeatable instructions so I can run it again in the future. Please highlight any prerequisites (ADB, iTunes, Python libraries, encryption keys, etc.) directly in the hand-off.
