Script for a barcode scanner

So I have an idea of implementing a barcode scanner in to my cnc machine. As it is an old machine it does not have an option to use a barcode scanner to open a file after a part was scanned. So my Idea is to scan a part which has a barcode on it. After that the script should delete all files from the specific folder and copy a file from a different folder using information got from the scanner. And it should do this every time i scan a barcode. I will have a folder of all the files i need, corresponding the barcodes. thanks
