Documentary Script Writing Needed
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
The project calls for transforming an existing trove of interviews, archival footage, and background research into a compelling, production-ready documentary script. The material spans roughly sixty minutes of screen time; what’s missing is a clear narrative spine, scene-by-scene pacing, and engaging voice-over that can hold a general audience from the opening hook through the closing beat.
Scope of work
• Shape a one-page treatment that defines the central theme, key story beats, and emotional arc.
• Expand that treatment into a detailed outline specifying acts, sequences, and visual suggestions (B-roll, graphics, lower-thirds).
• Draft the full script—narration, dialogue pulls, on-screen text, and sound cues—formatted for easy hand-off to the director and editor.
• Incorporate up to two revision rounds to tighten structure or adjust tone once stakeholder feedback arrives.
Acceptance criteria
The final script must:
1. Flow logically, with no unexplained jumps in time or context.
2. Credit every source verbatim where used.
3. Fit a 58–62-minute runtime when read aloud at standard pace.
4. Arrive in both PDF and editable Word/Google Docs formats.
Access to transcripts, preliminary edits, and fact-checking notes will be provided on kickoff. Indicate in your proposal any documentary credits, writing samples, and an estimated timeline for treatment, outline, first draft, and final delivery.
