A screen play based on real life significant historical events during WW1 WW2 and beyond.

Job ID: 32546789

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

The arc of this story is one family’s journey, ( my mothers and others ) from humble beginnings to great wealth, followed by the cataclysmic events of WW1 and WW2, then to endure “the expulsion of the Germans,” where all German speaking people of any group or nationality were force marched, put into concentration camps, or murdered.

This story spans time, generations, class affiliations, and a series of dramatic world-wide historical events that shaped our present-day world. It is both a deeply personal story of struggle, and is emblematic of many individuals, families, cities, and even nations.

Told through the eyes of one beloved family, and others in the town of Jaegerndorf, the story’s backdrop begins with a short time where Jews were allowed to own land, to a prosperous time where the family, the Larisch’s, built the textile industry, to weathering WWI and the subsequent dissolution of the Austrian Hungarian Empire, all leading to what would be the cataclysmic events of WW2. It is a prescient story for the current times in our world.

For the project itself, we plan to create a series that can be ongoing, beginning with writing the proposal describing the story arc.
We have many artifacts and documents including books, stories, photos, art, and more, about what transpired during that time. We also have video and audio recordings of a number of survivors from this time. We slideshows of the factories, towns and homes.
