I have an 85,000-word European-set thriller, “The Bank,” and I need a screen-ready adaptation that can go straight into pitch decks for production companies. The novel's setting is Europe – mostly, Lyon, France, and Brussels (Belgium). The novel’s lead, Saskia—part Indonesian, part Dutch, just three-foot-nine—relies on pure intelligence, unshakable integrity, and the occasional burst of BMX daring rather than guns or brute force. That understated approach is exactly the tone I want carried into the screenplay: realistic, tightly wound suspense without gratuitous melodrama or weapon-heavy set pieces.
The script should track the book’s core narrative while leaving you room for smart structural or pacing tweaks that make the story land cinematically. I’m happy to workshop fresh set-ups and move from a single POV (Saskia's) to include the POVs of those she works with as long as Saskia’s mind-for-finance problem-solving and moral compass stay front and center.
