Sitcom Character Development With Video

I have a brand-new sitcom concept on the table and need help turning the core cast into fully-fleshed, laugh-worthy personalities. I will share several short video clips that capture the tone, pacing, and physical quirks I’m aiming for; they should serve as inspiration while you craft each character’s look, voice, and back-story.

Although most roles are everyday humans, one secondary character is a fantasy-style creature who still has to feel believable, so a realistic treatment is essential. Across the board the dominant vibe is funny—think quick wit rather than slapstick—so punchy dialogue samples and memorable comedic hooks are a must.

Deliverables I’m expecting:
• A concise bio for every principal and recurring character (name, age, goals, signature humour style)
• A one-page personality sheet for the realistic fantasy creature, outlining physical traits, limitations, and how it fits naturally into the human ensemble
• Scene snippets or monologue examples that spotlight each character’s humour
• Visual reference boards or rough sketches that mirror the descriptions in the supplied videos (simple storyboards are fine)
