Looking for action / horror screenwriters or Screenplays
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hey! I am an award winning Director with a strong passion for Action and Horror.
-- I am looking for screenwriters who want to combine the two in a way that hasn't really been done yet. - I will consider scripts that are already done.
I love intense martial arts fights like the ones in " The Night Comes For Us " and " Raid 2 "
I love horror films like " The Texas Chainsaw Murder " and " The Devils Rejects "
I work with some really great stunt guys and girls who have been involved in some of the biggest action projects like the Marvel franchise and Westworld -- I also am really good friends with some very talented Practical FX artists.
So yes consider budget but don't be afraid to make a really fun and intense story that combines the slow building suspense and dread of horror and the high adrenaline fueled feeling you get from really great action sequences.
I don't want any corny ways of combining martial arts and horror... it really needs to be realistic and believable... better yet relatable. I really love good character development. I don't need to know everything about them but I would like to be rooting for someone at some point.. but I don't want it to be easy.
If you are interested in possibly pitching an already existing project or developing an original idea with me - please send the script or a few examples of some scripts you've done in the past.
I would like this screenplay to be around 10-15 pages. I like the idea of having black martial artists and female leads but that's not required.
I want to be scared and excited when I read these stories. I am a big fan of "franchises" so if you have a bigger picture in mind for something.. You can consider this a proof of concept short. I do have investor friends. ( This is just for fun for me but could turn into something if its really good )
