Horror-Comedy Story Screenplay Adaptation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a 30-page hybrid horror/comedy prose story and I want it living on the page as a fully formatted screenplay. Every slug line, action line, character cue, and parenthetical should follow standard screenplay convention (Courier 12 pt, 1.5” left margin, 1” right, proper tab stops).
Your task is to translate the narrative into visual, scene-driven language while protecting the mix of scares and laughs that makes the piece work. Where prose lingers on inner thoughts, convert them into cinematic moments, punchy dialogue, or clear action. Feel free to suggest lean structural tweaks so that the script flows in a classic three-act rhythm, but do not add new plot threads.
Deliverables
• PDF of the finished script
• An editable file (Final Draft .fdx, Fountain, or Word—whichever you prefer)
• A brief change log noting any structural or pacing adjustments
I’ll provide the story in Word and a few character notes as soon as we start. Looking forward to seeing the story ready for the screen.
