Historical Dark Comedy Screenwriter Needed

Job ID: 40272571

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

I’m developing a feature-length comedy that leans into the darker side of humour while unfolding against a rich historical backdrop. I already have the core premise and a few key characters sketched out, but I need an experienced screenwriter who can turn these fragments into a tight, engaging screenplay that balances period authenticity with sharp, subversive laughs.

Because the project is a dark comedy set in a specific era, you’ll need to weave historically accurate detail into the humour without slowing the pace. Think of witty dialogue that feels true to the time, morally grey protagonists, and situational irony that only heightens as events spiral.

Here’s what I’m hoping to receive:

• A one-page logline and synopsis to confirm tone and structure
• A detailed beat sheet or outline (three-act preferred)
• Character bios with brief historical notes where relevant
• A complete first draft of the screenplay in standard format (Final Draft or PDF) at roughly 90–110 pages
• Two revision passes based on my notes, focusing on pacing, comedic timing, and historical consistency

I’ll provide reference materials on the period, notes on theme, and feedback at each milestone. If you have samples of other comedies—especially dark or period pieces—please include links or excerpts so I can get a feel for your voice. Let’s create a script that is as wickedly funny as it is true to its time.
