I need a well-structured literature review that gathers and synthesises the latest research on radiation protection measures for engineers who routinely work around radioactive sources. This is for my personal knowledge base rather than for a company report, so the tone can be slightly less formal than a journal submission but must remain scientifically rigorous.
Scope
• Search and curate peer-reviewed articles published within roughly the past ten years on radiation shielding, time-distance-shielding principles, personal dosimetry, and facility design considerations.
• Summarise key findings, noting consensus, gaps, and emerging technologies.
• Highlight practical, actionable tips an individual engineer can adopt in day-to-day work.
• Provide full citations in APA format and include a bibliography.
What I expect
– Around 3,000–4,000 words organised with clear headings.
– At least 20 credible sources, primarily journal articles, supplemented by authoritative guidelines (IAEA, NCRP, ICRP).
– A concise executive summary (≈300 words) that distils the most important takeaways.
Deliverables: Word or Google Doc plus a separate PDF of the final version.
