Scientific Analyzer Software Troubleshooting

I'm in need of expertise for troubleshooting the software of my scientific analyzer.
Key requirements include:
- Extensive experience with scientific analytic systems - specifically software use and interface navigation.
- Aptitude to identify and rectify issues efficiently.
I am currently facing a few problems:
- Difficulty navigating the interface which is hampering my utilization of the analyzer.
As an expert in scientific system software, you'll be expected to address these issues, paving the way for smooth and effective operation of my analyzer. Quick responses and clarity in communication would be appreciated.
The equipment is a Beckman Coulter N4 Plus connected to desktop via serial port. We had been able to connect but not communicating now. Thinking it must be some setting either port or other or version of operating system. Device is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
