Chemical cross-talk between bacteria

For the purpose of my PhD thesis, I would like to make a nice scientific illustration that will represent my work on the cover page of my thesis book. My project is related to bacterial interaction which involves a lot of chemistry and thus I would like that the illustration also contains several chemical structures (that I can provide and work on them). The work of my thesis was combining many laboratory approaches, including utilization of microscope, analysis of many graphs, growing plantlets etc. Related to this, I assume that it would be also nice to have those elements in the illustration.
