PCB Layout Engineer Needed – Manual Routing of Existing 4-Layer PCB
I am looking for an experienced PCB layout engineer to complete the manual routing of an existing 4-layer PCB for a portable AI-powered scientific field instrument (spectral reflectance analyzer). The schematic, component selection, BOM, and initial PCB placement have already been completed. The objective is to complete the routing and prepare the board for manufacturing.
Scope of Work:
- Review the existing schematic and PCB placement.
- Complete manual routing of all remaining nets.
- Optimize power, ground, and return-current paths.
- Route GPS/RF, SPI, I²C, UART, USB-C, and LED driver signals following PCB best practices.
- Resolve all DRC errors and ensure the board is fully connected.
- Preserve the existing schematic and placement whenever possible; make only minimal placement adjustments if required for successful routing.
- Generate manufacturing-ready outputs (Gerbers, drill files, Pick & Place, and updated BOM).
Project Details:
- 4-layer PCB
- Board size: 160 × 100 mm
- Current status: Schematic, BOM, and component placement complete; PCB routing partially completed.
- Preferred software: Flux.ai (KiCad or Altium Designer acceptable if conversion is necessary).

Required Experience:
Strong experience designing and routing 4-layer PCBs.
Experience with switching power supplies, power integrity, and grounding.
Experience with GPS/RF layout and mixed-signal PCB design.
Experience routing fine-pitch components (QFN/WSON packages).
Ability to deliver a manufacturing-ready PCB with zero critical DRC errors.
All project files, including the Flux project, schematic, BOM, placement, and documentation, will be provided to the selected freelancer. The goal is to finish the PCB layout efficiently without redesigning the project from scratch.
