LM5170 EVM Buck Debug Help

My Texas Instruments LM5170EVM-BIDIR board refuses to deliver any output voltage when I switch it to buck mode. Boost mode also does not run, so I’m convinced the fault is somewhere in power stage or its sensing network. I haven’t probed or ruled anything out yet—no continuity checks, no component swaps—so you’ll be starting with a completely untouched setup.

I do have both a multimeter and an oscilloscope on the bench, so I can feed you real-time measurements, screenshots, or scope traces as we move through your diagnostic plan. A hardware-level approach is exactly what I’m after: schematic review, expected waveforms, component-level tests, and, if it comes to it, guidance on swapping parts or jumpers to bring the regulator to life.

By the end of the engagement I expect:
• A clear root-cause explanation for the “no output voltage” symptom in buck mode
• A repeatable fix (circuit tweak, BOM change, or layout note) that I can implement and verify on my own bench
• Confirmation through measured results that the buck rail is regulating correctly under load
