SAP BCS UCWB Report Customization

I need to extend our SAP BCS UCWB so finance users can pull all consolidation journal entries straight into a query and then export them to Excel. The standard workbench reports are too limited, so the task is a pure customization focused on new report creation—no dashboard tweaks or fancy charts, just a solid, reliable report.

Scope
• Build a UCWB‐integrated report that retrieves journal line items by version, period, consolidation unit and other common selection parameters.
• Make the output immediately downloadable (TXT, CSV or native Excel) and consumable by BEx or any ad-hoc query tool.
• Follow SAP best-practice coding in ABAP/FAGL and deliver clear transport keys and brief technical documentation so we can move it through QA to production without surprises.

Acceptance
• Report runs from the UCWB menu without dumps or authority issues.
• Results match the journal data visible in standard BCS monitors for the same selection.
• Export produces a clean, query-ready file with all key fields and no manual reformatting needed.
