SAP ABAP Reports & OData
Budget: ₹2,500 – ₹0 INR
I need an SAP technical specialist who can jump straight into an S/4HANA implementation and take full ownership of the ABAP reporting workload while keeping our existing OData services healthy and compliant. Most of the day-to-day work centres on custom report development—classical, interactive, and ALV—so deep experience in the Reports area of ABAP is essential. You will be refining specs with our functional team, writing and unit-testing code in SE80 or Eclipse ADT, running performance traces, and then transporting objects through the usual CTS landscape.
Alongside the reporting pieces, you will maintain and extend our SAP Gateway layer. Expect tasks such as correcting metadata issues, versioning services, adjusting model definitions, and resolving consumption errors picked up by our Fiori apps. If you have prior hands-on involvement in S/4HANA implementations, you’ll recognise our pace: tight sprints, frequent fit-to-standard reviews, and rigorous ATC checks.
Deliverables
• Clean, well-documented ABAP report programs ready for import to QA
• Updated or newly extended OData services with transport requests and change logs
• Technical documentation (inline comments plus a short Word or Markdown hand-over note)
• Evidence of successful unit tests and ATC clearance
Acceptance criteria
Code must compile without warnings, return accurate data against provided test cases, and move to QA with zero transport errors. OData services should register without dumps, expose the agreed entities, and pass Gateway client tests.
You’ll be working in a remote sandbox first, then moving changes through DEV → QA → PRD, so familiarity with standard SAP tools—SE80, Eclipse ADT, SAP Gateway, ST05, SAT, and debugging utilities—is expected. If this stack matches your skill set and you’re ready to start right away, let me know your estimated hours for the first three reports and associated service updates, plus any questions you need answered before kickoff.
