Job Summary:
The Pharma Wholesale SME will provide functional and domain expertise in pharmaceutical wholesale and healthcare distribution operations. The role will support business transformation, ERP implementation, process optimization, supply chain initiatives, and regulatory compliance programs across pharmaceutical distribution operations.
The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, logistics partners, warehouse operations, procurement teams, and external vendors to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with healthcare and pharmaceutical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze, document, and optimize pharmaceutical wholesale business processes
• Support ERP implementation, enhancement, rollout, and transformation projects
• Gather and define business requirements for supply chain, procurement, inventory, logistics, and order management
• Support end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
• Collaborate with warehouse, transportation, procurement, and customer service teams
• Ensure compliance with GDP/GxP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
• Support serialization and track-and-trace initiatives
• Participate in UAT, process validation, testing, and training activities
• Support master data governance and data quality initiatives
• Prepare SOPs, business process documentation, and operational reports
• Work with cross-functional teams for continuous process improvement and automation initiatives
Qualifications:
• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA data migration with hands-on involvement in multiple migration cycles.
• Functional understanding in at least one or two SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO, PP) with ability to interpret data requirements.
• Ability to work independently on assigned objects with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact with business and technical stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, Information Technology, or related field. MBA or relevant supply chain certifications will be an added advantage
Experience Required:
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical wholesale, healthcare distribution, or healthcare supply chain operations
• Should possess strong experience as a Business Analyst in a GxP-regulated pharma environment with good understanding of GMP, GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV, and data integrity principles.
• The role involves requirement gathering, process mapping, documentation, UAT coordination, and stakeholder management across quality, manufacturing, regulatory, or supply chain functions.
• Experience with pharma systems such as SAP, LIMS, QMS, MES, Veeva, or TrackWise is preferred. The candidate should be capable of preparing compliance-related documentation including URS, FRS, RTM, and validation support documents while ensuring adherence to regulatory and audit requirements.
• Experience supporting ERP transformation or digital transformation initiatives
• Experience working with European or global pharmaceutical operations is preferred
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical wholesale and healthcare distribution operations
• Knowledge of pharmacy supply chain processes and inventory management
• Understanding of warehousing, logistics, transportation, and procurement operations
• Experience in business process mapping and optimization
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical distribution
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams
