Integration of RESTful API with SAP ERP (HANA Backend)

We are looking for an experienced SAP developer/integration consultant to build an application that connects our RESTful API with SAP ERP (running on HANA).

The key requirement is to fetch data from SAP tabled and post the same through our RESTful API and vice versa to update the corresponding SAP tables The output JSON fields will map directly to the SAP input table fields — however, the table/column names in SAP may differ from the API field names.

The scope includes:

1. API Consumption

Connect SAP ERP with our RESTful API (GET/POST methods).

Handle authentication (OAuth2 / token-based).



2. Data Mapping

Transform incoming JSON fields into SAP structure (considering name differences).

Build a reusable mapping layer.



3. SAP Posting/Update

Update SAP tables or call SAP BAPIs/Function Modules with mapped data.

Ensure transactional consistency (commit/rollback).



4. Error Handling & Logging

Implement robust error handling and log API/SAP interaction.

Retry mechanism in case of failed updates.



5. Documentation & Handover

Provide configuration, deployment, and mapping documentation.

Knowledge transfer session at the end.
