Enhance S/4HANA Invoice Form Fields

I’m updating an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud invoice template that belongs to the Sales and Distribution module, and I’ve hit a road-block: several key data points—specifically a custom field and the customer’s tax number—aren’t exposed in the current data source. I’d like to understand the cleanest way to surface those fields, get them showing on the form, and verify that they print correctly.

Because I’m open to both standard SAP configuration and light custom enhancements, the right approach might involve CDS view extension, form template adaptation in Adobe LiveCycle, or even the Custom Fields and Logic app—whatever achieves the result quickly and cleanly. What matters most is a clear, step-by-step explanation so I can replicate the technique on future templates.
