Rebuild SAP HANA Infrastructure

Job ID: 40200468

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Our SAP HANA DEV / QAS host still boots SLES for SAP, yet the underlying XFS volumes that should mount to /hana/data, /hana/log and /hana/shared vanished after a storage change. As a result the database server’s IP is unreachable and HANA will not start.

I need a HANA-savvy Linux engineer who can jump in at the infrastructure layer, recreate the full HANA disk layout on XFS, run a clean HANA installation, and hand the server back in a state where my SAP Basis team can restore the PRD backup without surprises. No functional SAP tasks are involved—this is purely OS, storage and HANA installation work on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP.

Key points you will tackle
• Re-establish XFS mounts for /hana/data, /hana/log and /hana/shared with correct sizing and fstab entries
• Ensure the host’s database IP responds once the storage issue is cleared
• Perform a fresh SAP HANA installation and confirm all services start cleanly
• Leave the system ready for a subsequent SAP Basis restore from production

Deliverable is a fully operational DEV / QAS server with the directories above mounted, HANA services running, and the host reachable on its designated DB IP.
