SAP CPI Operational Data Integration

Expected SME Skill Set
1. Core Technical Expertise
Expert knowledge in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI/Integration Suite) including iFlow design and advanced component usage.
Deep understanding of SAP PI/PO ESR & ID objects such as service interfaces, mappings, routing, and adapter configurations.
Experience migrating Java/XSLT/Graphical mappings (including UDFs) into Groovy or script-based logic.
Strong scripting capability in Groovy or JavaScript for payload transformation and dynamic routing.
Adapter migration experience (File/FTP/SOAP/JDBC → SFTP/REST/OData/HTTP).
2. Migration & Architecture
Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Assessment tools for landscape analysis and migration effort estimation.
Expertise configuring SAP Cloud Connector, certificates, and secure hybrid connectivity.
Knowledge of BTP API Management and enterprise authentication mechanisms (OAuth, certificates, SSO).
Proven experience designing hybrid coexistence strategies ensuring seamless transition from PI to CPI.
3. Testing & Validation
Experience using automation tools (e.g., Int4, Figaf or similar) for migration validation and regression testing.
Ability to design end-to-end test strategies validating payload transformation parity with legacy interfaces.
4. Strategic & Methodological Skills
Strong interface discovery and classification experience (A2A, B2B, EDI, BPM scenarios).
Familiarity with SAP pre-packaged integration content and accelerators.
Capability to tune CPI runtime performance for throughput, latency, and resource optimization.
