Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SAP BASIS Engineer (Level 2) who specializes in managing, maintaining, and migrating SAP ECC 6 systems and has robust experience with Oracle databases within SAP environments. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in ECC migrations, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintaining overall SAP landscape stability, including complex OS and database migrations (e.g., UNIX to Linux, Linux to Windows, Oracle to HANA, SQL to HANA).
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, upgrades, and migrations of SAP ECC 6 environments.
• Execute complex OS and DB migrations, including UNIX to Linux, Linux to Windows, Oracle to HANA, and SQL to HANA.
• Provide ongoing SAP BASIS administration and support, including system monitoring, patching, and maintenance.
• Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot Oracle databases specifically tuned for SAP systems.
• Analyze system performance and apply proactive adjustments for optimal efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation and project execution.
• Document processes and procedures clearly for operational efficiency.
• Participate actively in resolving technical issues escalated by Level 1 support teams.
• Regularly monitor SAP systems to ensure optimal performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Implement and maintain SAP security measures, including user administration, role management, and authorization concepts.
• Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) to promote configuration and development objects across environments properly.
• Integrate SAP systems with other enterprise applications and third-party tools, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Plan and manage system capacity to meet current and future business requirements, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for SAP environments to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Work closely with developers, functional analysts, and other IT teams to support SAP-related projects and initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
• Keep abreast of the latest SAP technologies and best practices to recommend and implement improvements in the SAP landscape.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience as an SAP BASIS Engineer.
• Proven hands-on experience specifically with SAP ECC 6 migrations and complex OS/DB migrations (UNIX to Linux, Linux to Windows, Oracle to HANA, SQL to HANA).
• Strong Oracle database experience including installation, administration, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in SAP environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling SAP system copies, refreshes, and client management.
• Experience working with HPUX and Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS), backup and recovery strategies, and SAP security administration.
• Proven capability in designing and implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Experience in integrating SAP systems with third-party applications and enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of system performance monitoring, capacity planning, and proactive tuning.
• Expertise in SAP modules including Solution Manager (SolMAN), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
