Salesforce database development

We are looking to go onto Salesforce.
We need assistance to develop our database for importing to salesforce and then setting up salesforce for company use. We will require input on the data required and a database template that we can fill in.
Depending on quality of work, we may look to hire for the next stage which is admin management.
