Salesforce Experience Cloud Client Portal

Job ID: 36916890

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am looking for a Salesforce expert to help me set up and customize a Salesforce Experience Cloud Client Portal.

Main Purpose:
- The main purpose of this portal is to facilitate collaboration with my clients. The portal already exists in a basic form. Our main challenge is to manage the permissions and sharing rules so that clients see only the data the should be seeing regarding their work with us.

Requirements:
- Must have experience in setting up and customizing Salesforce Experience Cloud.
- Should be familiar with creating and managing client portals within Salesforce.
- Ability to customize the portal to match my brand and design preferences.
- Knowledge of Salesforce security and user management.

Existing Salesforce Account:
- I already have an existing Salesforce account, so the freelancer should be able to work with the existing setup.

Number of Users:
- The portal will be accessed by a small group of users, approximately 1-3.

Deliverables:
- Set up and configure the Salesforce Experience Cloud Client Portal.
- In particular set up profiles, permissions etc. to manage exposure of data to clients.
- Customize the portal to match my branding and design preferences.
- Provide documentation and training on how to manage and update the portal.
-
For this simple portal kick off, as step 1 we would need the following:
- Permissions, rights etc. relevant to exposing the right data to the right client. Each client has his own data stored in 1-2 custom objects in the org.
- We already have the licenses
- We have already drafted a portal with basic tabs and fields. We will optimise this later once we have the permissions set up. We may or may not need help with this.
- We want to ensure that none of the portal data is exposed on SEO via google search etc. At most, the login page. No other data scrape.
- We want to allow the client to do their own reports and save a few standard ones.
- We want the client to be able to interact with the portal to edit specific fields.
- We want client invoices displayed in the portal. These are saved in the quotes section of SF today.
- We want to post our price lists in the portal and keep them up to date. These are done in excel today as we have not yet implemented any quoting function. So we can display them as a pdf for example and just upload new documents regularly. Different clients have different price lists so we need to manage that as efficiently as possible while maintaining flexibility. Perhaps we can store their price list on their account page and expose that.
- We want to offer other products via the portal. In our case this usually means new countries so we should have some buttons to instruct different countries. The button would open a form based on the custom object we have and the client would fill in some fields and click submit. This would then come to us in our org and send a notification to us. I envisage focusing on max 5 countries for now for cross sell. So could be bottom of page or somewhere visible as a kind of advert.
- The portal for now is all existing clients who can receive a login so self register is not needed. This would be something for the future.
- The portal should work on mobile devices via the salesforce app or via a browser, either is ok for now however it should be optimised to be workable from a phone as well and not be difficult to use on a phone.
