Salesforce: Changing from regular user license to Integration User license

I am currently connecting from an outside application to Salesforce using a regular Salesforce user license (my credentials). In Salesforce it is connecting via a Connected App, OAuth. The outside app is using the UID and the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret to connect. This is working/connecting fine!
However, I would like to change from using a regular user license to using one of the Salesforce Integration User licenses. I am having trouble understanding how to set up this Integration User license and its permissions.
To compete this job, you will join a Google Meet (so I can screenshare Salesforce and the outside app) with me and guide me through setting up the Integration User license in Salesforce. Then I will switch to the outside application, and change the user credentials from the current one, to the new Integration User license.
Project will be successful when the outside app is able to connect using the Integration User license.
