Fundraising Specialist | Zero Blind
Location: Te Anau, Southland
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: $30/hr + bonuses and incentives

In this role, you will engage directly with donors, manage donor data with precision, and support campaigns that drive our life-changing work forward.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct outbound calls to potential and existing donors to share our mission, build relationships, and secure financial contributions.
• Follow up with previous donors to encourage continued support and increase donor retention.
• Record detailed call notes and donor interactions in Salesforce to maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
• Assist in preparing donor communications such as emails or newsletters, and support audio recording and podcasting efforts related to fundraising.
• Manage and maintain donor records with accuracy using Salesforce.
• Generate reports and donor data extracts to support fundraising campaigns and audits.
• Provide outstanding customer service and support to our valued donors.
• Collaborate proactively with the team to ensure campaign success.

Skills and Experience
• 2 years of previous sales or fundraising experience preferred. Experience working with people with blindness and significant visual impairments is a plus.
• Motivated, proactive, and comfortable asking for donations.
• Flexible, fast learner, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills with confidence in data handling.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a donor-first mindset.
• Passionate about our mission and eager to contribute positively.
