About Us
Hometown Hype is a Staten Island–based advertising business that helps small local businesses grow by featuring them on our giant 9x12 postcard. These cards are mailed directly to 10,000+ homes in targeted neighborhoods, giving local businesses affordable, high-impact exposure.
We’re looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join our growing team and help fill ad spots on upcoming postcard campaigns.
Responsibilities
Identify and reach out to small business owners (phone, email, social media, or in-person).
Present the benefits of advertising on our 9x12 postcard and close sales.
Build strong relationships with local businesses and maintain ongoing communication.
Work with our design and operations team to ensure client ads are finalized in a timely manner.
Track progress, update sales records, and help ensure the card fills up early.
Compensation
7% commission on all ad sales (12 ads per month needing to be sold, ad pricing of $475 and $875 per ad).
$10 bonus per day that the card fills up before the deadline.
No cap on earnings – the more businesses you bring on board, the more you make.
Requirements
Strong communication and persuasion skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Comfortable reaching out to business owners via cold calls, emails, and in-person visits.
Prior sales experience is a plus, but motivated beginners are welcome to apply.
Reliable and consistent follow-up skills.
